Oyo State Government on Tuesday, declared its readiness to commence the rehabilitation of rural road through the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) project immediately the rainy season stop.
The Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Hon. Adeniyi Adebisi, who spoke at the Stakeholders’ Consultative Engagement Meeting on the Year 2023 Budget, held at Saki Township Hall, Oyo State, said the State has secured financial support from development partners for rural roads, agro logistics, market and industrial hubs.
Adebisi explained that when the roads are completed it would contribute and provide direct and indirect jobs for the teeming population in the State.
He maintained that the task of building a virile Oyo State is the responsibility of everyone that cannot only be left for the Government, saying that all hands must be on desk in taking the State to greater height.
He said: At the end of this year raining season, we will commence the rehabilitation of rural road through the RAAMP project as we have secured financial support from our development partners for rural roads, agro logistics, market and industrial hubs.
“This is apart from our investment in the rehabilitation of Fashola Agri-Business
Industrial Hub and Eruwa Agri-Business Industrial Hub which upon their completion will contribute and provide direct and indirect jobs for our teeming population.”

Let me use this opportunity to assure you that we not only remain undeterred in the execution of laudable and impactful programmes and projects, but will work assiduously to ensure that all on-going projects come to a successful completion.”

The task of building a virile Oyo State is the responsibility of everyone and we renew the call to every citizen to join hands with Government on this herculean task”.
“I also solicit your understanding for the inconvenience currently being experienced as a result of the ongoing infrastructural projects especially the reconstruction of bridges across the State. This temporary discomfort will soon give way to lasting happiness as all projects will be completed very soon.”
Earlier in his opening remarks, the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Prof. Musibau Babatunde said that nothing can be done outside the budget of a State, hence there is a need for the engagement of different Stakeholders in the budget preparation, so as to incorporate them into the budget.
He, therefore, assured the people of the zone that their requests will be adequately represented in the year 2023 budget.
Similarly, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning Tpl Ademola Ajibola, noted there is a need for stakeholder engagement, in order to give room for a holistic approach to budget preparation in the State.
He said the budget has tagged the budget of total involvement and reliability, saying people should have total trust in the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde.
In his contribution, the Okere of Saki, Oba Khalid Olabisi lauded the Governor for delivering good governance, building infrastructure and for defending the interest of the residents of the State.
He maintained that they are proud of the Governor over his massive achievements in office over the last three years.
“We thank your administration for the massive and unprecedented developments in Oke Ogun since this Government came into office in 2019.We appreciate the Governor on that larger scale, because Oyo State has witnessed tremendous progress under this Government. As traditional rulers, we want the continuity on what you have started three years ago.
